Sony Electronics has finally announced pricing details for its 2022 European TV lineup, revealing exactly how much fans can expect to pay to get their hands on one of the world’s first-ever QD-OLED TVs. 

The Sony A95K QD-OLED TV is set to go on sale in May and early reviews have mostly been extremely positive, with Tech Radar for example reportedly “blown away” by what it saw. The Sony A95K QD-OLED TV will go on sale in May with prices starting at €3,050, the company has confirmed. That works out at £2,550. 

The 65-inch model will cost exactly a grand more in Euros, with a price tag of €4,050, or £3,400 in the U.K. 

We cannot yet confirm the U.K. prices as those are merely straight 1:1 conversions, but there’s a strong likelihood that we won’t be far off. 

Sony’s A95K QD-OLED TV cannot be considered cheap, but the price is nonetheless much cheaper than what many people had first expected, given that the display technology is completely new and apparently not all that easy to manufacture. 

For those looking for a more affordable TV, or more conventional OLED technology, the Sony A80K looks to be a very interesting prospect with its price tag of €2,300 (£1,900) for the 55-inch model. Sony is also selling the Mini LED Sony X95K, which is based on LCD display technology and will cost $3,500 (around £2,900) for the smallest, 65-inch model.

Sony’s high-end 2022 TVs will all feature 4K resolution with Dolby Vision HDR and the latest Google TV operating system. Sony pairs its OLED TVs with its new XR OLED Contrast Pro technology that helps to enhance the images beyond what the OLED display itself is capable of delivering.
