TCL has proudly revealed that a handful of its premium Mini-LED and QLED TVs have won 2024 Red Dot Awards in the “outstanding product design” category. It said the achievements recognize its “exceptional work” with regards to both the stylish design and the impressive performance of its products.
The award-winning models include the new TCL 1215 X955K Max Mini-LED TV, as well as the TCL C65K and P75K Series QLED televisions.
The company says the Red Dot awards have been around for more than 60 years, and are one of the most prestigious in the consumer electronics industry, recognized as an “international endorsement” and a benchmark for outstanding design. It added that its products were noted for their “groundbreaking advancements” in visual and audio technology.
Representing the “pinnacle of advanced technology and superior design”, the TCL 115 X955K Max is the company’s flagship TV for this year, combining its 6th generation Mini-LED display technology with 4K HDR Premium 5000 tech and 144Hz refresh rates to deliver “powerfully precise contrast” and vibrant HDR pictures.
The 115-inch TV is armed with tons of premium features, including Game Master Pro 3.0, HDMI 2.1, Auto Low-Latency Mode, Variable Refresh Rates, FreeSync Premium Pro, the TCL Game Bar and a 240Hz Game Accelerator mode, which ensures the most “exceptional” experience for streaming movies, playing games and watching live sports broadcasts.
Besides the high-quality display tech, the TCL 115 X955K Max also boasts some impressive audio capabilities, with built-in Onkyo speakers and an integrated subwoofer delivering immersive 6.2.2-channel Dolby Atmos sound.
As for the TCL C65K and P75K TVs, these are QLED-based LCD models featuring 4K HDR Pro and Motion Clarity technology to deliver vibrant, colourful and sharp HDR images.
They’re equipped with 120Hz panels and have many of the same features as found on the TCL 1215 X955K Max, including Game Master 3.0, 120Hz Full HD Game Accelerator (available in 55, 65, 75, and 85 inches), and a 240Hz Full HD game accelerator that’s exclusive to the 98-inch model. It also features an Onkyo sound system that delivers immersive 2.1-channel Dolby Atmos sound. Both TVs run the Google TV operating system.
TCL said receiving the Red Dot accolades demonstrates its commitment to innovation and quality, and shows that the company fully deserves its status as the world’s second-largest TV brand.
"Design is at the core of TCL's innovation,” said Shane Lee, general manager of TCL’s Design Innovation Center. “We strive to create products that are both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional, often becoming the centrepiece of the home. By combining advanced technology with our design philosophy, we aim to surpass consumer expectations and redefine home technology.”
