TCL debuts 65-inch PF650K TV, and it can be had for less than less than £450

TCL has launched another mid-range TV series in the U.K., and it’s being made available at a special low price via an “Early Bird” offer exclusively through Amazon, from now until October 7.

What that means is you can snag a pretty decent 65-inch television for £448, with features including a 4K HDR display with Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and a special Game Master mode for enhanced console experiences.

The TCL PF650K TV is a Fire TV, which means it comes with Amazon’s homegrown TV operating system, providing access to all of your favourite streaming applications in one place. It’s a bit like having an Amazon Fire TV stick plugged into your TV for eternity, and it provides a good alternative to platforms like Android TV.

Because it’s a Fire TV, that means the Amazon Alexa voice assistant is integrated with it, allowing viewers to control everything using their natural voice. So there’s no more pfaffing around with buttons on the remote – if you don’t want to – as you can simply tell Alexa what you want to watch, ask it to ramp up the volume and so on.

Bringing everything to life is the 4K HDR display that’s based on an LED panel. It supports Dolby Vision HDR, which allows for superior dynamic range, with brighter brights and deeper darks and a more vibrant range of colours. With that, it can showcase both the blackest blacks and stunning highlights in the same scene. The TV also features a bezel-less design, which looks great.

Surround sound is also supported thanks to Dolby Atmos, so viewers will be able to enjoy a 360-degree audioscape that delivers immersive, cinema-like sound effects.

Last but not least, there’s a special Game Master mode that enables the TV to deliver higher quality gaming experiences for those who demand high responsiveness and smooth visuals. The TV sports a HDMI 2.1 port and the Game Master feature unlocks Auto Low-Latency Mode, ensuring that gaming content is displayed with the lowest latency, with the picture optimised specifically for video game graphics.
