Samsung wants to sell you 8 TVs in a single package. Seriously.

To be honest, we’ll be very surprised if there’s a single taker for Samsung’s latest discounted TV deal, but the company has decided to go ahead and announced its mental “Buzzer Beater Bundle” anyway, offering a staggering EIGHT TVs in a single package.

The company said the bundle of eight TVs would cost more than $16,000 if you were to purchase them all separately, but if you buy them all at once, while the offer lasts, you’ll save more than 30% on the price. It’s asking for $10,300 for all eight TVs, meaning a grand saving of more than $5,000 if you decide to go with one of the most insane impulse buys imaginable.

The question, of course, is who the hell would want to go and buy eight TVs at once? As ridiculous as the idea sounds, Samsung has apparently convinced itself that there may just be a few takers – it says the eight TVs can be assembled together on a large wall and serve as the ultimate live sports viewing setup, allowing viewers to tune into various Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga and Series footy games, maybe, or perhaps F1 racing or rugby or tennis or American football or darts or whatever else it is that floats your boat.

No longer will you have to make the sacrifice of missing out on live coverage of seven events just to keep the wife happy. Though of course, she might not be too pleased with the incessant wall of noise that prevents her from understanding whatever she’s binge-watching on Netflix.

In actual fact, the offer is exclusive to U.S. sports fans, and it’s called the Buzzer Beater Bundle because it’s designed to cater to basketball fans ahead of the imminent NNCA March Madness tournament that’s set to take place next month, providing almost non-stop, wall-to-wall college basketball for a period of about two weeks.

In case you’re wondering what TVs you’ll be getting in this absurd deal, it includes a single 98-inch Samsung Crystal UHD 4K TV (DU9000), one 65-inch Neo QLED 8K TV (the QN900D), plus three 65-inch Neo QLED 4K TVs (the QN85D) and another three, somewhat more basic 55-inch QLED 4K TVs (the Q70D). Note the sizes, you'll need a pretty big wall.

As mentioned, if for some reason you really cannot resist the urge to stock up on Samsung TVs – perhaps you have kleptomaniac tendencies – you’ll need to fly to the USA between March 12 and March 22, which is the advertised period for which the deal runs. Though it's unlikely you'll be able to bring them all back home in your hand luggage.

We’ll be shocked if Samsung manages to sell even a single bundle to your average consumer, but the company makes its case anyhow, saying that “mega sports fans” often find themselves flicking through different channels or using split-screen features to catch every moment of multiple live sports.

According to Samsung’s Head of Product for Home Electronics, Lydia Cho, the company “often sees fans creating their own DIY dual-screen setups to stream the tournaments”. She added that “two TVs isn’t always enough!”.

“Now, Samsung Electronics America is here to help with the first-ever Buzzer Beater Bundle,” she continued. “The limited-time TV offer delivers the ultimate home entertainment setup for college basketball fans, featuring eight premium Samsung TVs ranging from 55-to-98 inches of screen sizes in one package.”

Despite Samsung’s claims, we imagine that few people with over $10,000 burning a hole in their pocket will be crazy enough to spend it all on TVs, but more realistically, the offer may perhaps tempt some business establishments looking to kit out their venues with an array of new screens.
