LG Electronics has given us a good inkling of what to expect when its latest TVs hit the U.K. market after revealing its European prices. While they may not be exactly indicative of prices here, they probably won’t be too far away from what U.K buyers can expect to pay.
What’s encouraging is that the prices in Europe are pretty much identical to what we saw last year, with the company’s lineup of B5, C5 and G5 OLED models being priced almost the same as last year's B4, C4 and G4 TVs. The 2025 B5 OLED model is the most affordable in the range, with the C5 representing a step up in performance and the G5 delivering all the latest advances, including LG Display’s newest Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel, which delivers increased brightness and best-in-class picture quality.
The LG M5 Wireless OLED TV almost matches the capabilities of the G5, with a couple of caveats, but the company has not yet shared its European prices for that model. It will probably cost a bit more than the G5.
As mentioned, the best prices can be had when buying the entry-level LG B5 OLED TV, which costs €1,700 for the smallest 48-inch model, rising to €1,900 for the 45-inch version and €2,800 for the 65-incher. The biggest two sizes, at 77-inches and 83-inches, will be priced at €4,300 and €6,000, respectively.
If you’re looking for a smaller OLED TV, you’re only option is the 42-inch LG C5, which will cost €1,700, the same as the slightly-bigger B5 model. Going up through the sizes, the 48-inch C5 will cost €1,800, while the 55-incher will cost €2,400 and the 65-inch version will sell for €3,200. For the 77-inch and 83-inch models, expect to pay $4,600 and €7,200, respectively.
As for the high-end LG G5 OLED TV, that is available for the first time in a 48-inch model, starting at €2,100, which is not bad at all for the advances in OLED technology it provides, even if it may be too small for some people’s tastes. If you want bigger you’ll need to pay more, with the 55-inch model priced at €2,800, the 65-inch version set to cost €4,000, the 77-inch screen priced at €5,500 and the 83-inch display to retail at €8,700. There’s also going to be a 97-inch G5, but it’s quite a stunning leap, commanding a price tag of €30,000.
We should point out that the U.K. pricing is unlikely to be determined based on a straightforward exchange rate, as the costs of shipping and importing the products can vary considerably across markets. So the Euro prices are more of a guideline for what U.K. buyers can expect to pay
Still, if you want a rough idea of what LG might be asking for, the 65-inch B5 model would be priced at £2,315 if the company goes by the current exchange rate. The 65-inch C5 would cost £2,645, and the 65-inch G5 would be priced at £3,300. Those exchange rates are pretty consistent with last year’s U.K. prices, where the LG C4 was launched with a price tag of £2,700 and the G4 started at £3,299.
Of course, there's nothing stopping you from nipping over the Channel on a ferry if you do prefer to pay in euros.
We’ll report accurate U.K prices as soon as we have them, but in the meantime you can use these rough estimates to assess the likely damage to your wallet. You can also watch this video to consider if you really do want to invest in an upgraded OLED television:
