Samsung Electronics is offering some lucky football fans the chance to enjoy the World Cup semi-finals and final match in ultimate comfort, complete with free food and drinks at its newly setup Neo QLED viewing pod at the Samsung KX experience space in King’s Cross, London.

The Neo QLED viewing pod is a unique experience that provides football fans with the chance to watch the world’s most beautiful game in stunning picture quality on one of Samsung’s QN800B TV models. The pod was developed alongside the sports radio station talkSPORT, and gives fans the opportunity to witness firsthand the extraordinary image and sound quality of one of Samsung’s best TVs.

As part of the collaboration, Samsung said it will also sponsor talkSPORT’s World Cup GameDay football podcast, which provides updates from reporters on the ground in Qatar. In addition, talkSPORT said it will record some of its World Cup GameDay podcast episodes directly from the Neo QLED pod.

The pod promises to be one of the best ways to experience the picture quality and sound performance of Samsung’s Neo QLED TVs. As the company explains, the unique combination of extreme contrast, ultra-sharp lights and true-to-life colour will enable viewers to enjoy spectacular details while watching their favourite teams at the World Cup.

“Together we are creating a new-level experience for football fans who want the very best experience across all the action,” said Head of talkSPORT’s Fan Network Daniel Dawson.

Samsung’s Neo QLED TVs are powered by Quantum Dot and Quantum Matrix technology, which combine to deliver naturally bright and colourful images with extremely precise details and superior contrast, the company explained. Add to that the higher peak brightness and deeper blacks, and it’s easy to see why Samsung is claiming that its Neo QLED 8K TVs offer a big improvement on both picture and sound quality.

On the audio side, the Samsung Neo QLED QN800B model at the pod is equipped with the HW-Q990B soundbar that takes the sound to the next level, ensuring a more immersive experience overall. With the TVs’ Q-Symphony2 technology, the soundbar is able to deliver highly realistic, wall-to-wall sound without any complicated setup, Samsung promised.

Of course, the whole idea with the Neo QLED viewing pod is that fans can come to Samsung‘s KX experience space and see and hear for themselves. To that end, the pod is open now to anyone who wants to experience it. However, only a lucky few competition winners will be invited to come and watch the actual games at the pod. To enter, simply visit Samsung UK’s Facebook page, like and comment on a simple question for the chance to win the prize. Winners and their friends will then be able to come to the pod and watch either one of the semi-finals, or the final itself, with Samsung providing free food and drinks for the experience. In addition, the winners will also receive £300 worth of restaurant vouchers to enjoy before or after the fixture.

“Through our collaboration with talkSPORT, one of the leading media outlets for sport in the UK, we hope to attract new and existing consumers to enjoy the benefits of our Neo QLED viewing experience and the award-winning Quantum Dot technology featured inside it,” said Samsung Electronics UK & Ireland Marketing Director for TV and AV, Zeena Hill.
