U.K. television brand Mitchell & Brown has announced a new flagship, 65-inch 4K UHD Smart TV. The new model has one hell of a name – the Mitchell & Brown JB-65UHD18114KBLA, though aesthetically at least, it’s easier on the eye with its “borderless” slim bezel design.

The company said the TV runs the latest version of the Android TV operating system and comes with a hefty 7-year warranty, which might be a deal-maker for those who care about longevity.

The display is said to be a Direct-Lit panel with a peak brightness of 500 nits, with support for HDR formats including Dolby Vision and HLG. Besides Android TV, which brings access to apps such as Netflix and Amazon Prime, the TV also comes with Freeview Play, meaning catch up TV services such as BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub and more than 70 free TV channels.

The slim bezel is accompanied by a neat sound system with two 12-watt RMS amplifiers that power its loudspeakers and a built-in active subwoofer. There are also optical and eARC ports for those who prefer to use external speakers.

“The 65-inch KBLA is our new flagship model for 2022, featuring our best-ever picture and sound, and truly big-screen entertainment,” said Mitchell & Brown Operations Director Dan Brown. “Sold only through our knowledgeable independent High Street retail partners, we aim to make buying, using and loving your TV as simple as possible.”

The company said the TV will go on sale in April for £850 at independent electrical retailers throughout the U.K.

It adds that the rest of its 2022 KBL TV lineup has also been upgraded with the latest version of Android TV. Those models include the JB-43UHD18114KBLA, which costs £550, the JB-50UHD18114KBLA, at £700, and the JB-55UHD18114KBLA, which will retail at £750.
