Bang & Olufsen opens new immersive flagship store in London's Mayfair

The high-end Danish audio visual firm Bang & Olufsen has opened a new flagship store in London’s Mayfair. Located on New Bond Street, the three-storey outlet has been designed to accommodate the specialist needs of refined customers, giving them a chance to experience the unrivalled quality of the company’s products while enjoying an immersive shopping experience.

Bang & Olufsen’s new store resembles a futuristic oasis, where technology enthusiasts are invited to see and hear the crisp and clear quality of the company’s high-end audio and TV products. It’s a 4,000 square-feet retail venue that’s spread across three floors, defined by a sleek, stylish and creative interior space that helps customers to better appreciate the brand’s unique focus on quality and design.

Visitors to the store will be invited to test out Bang & Olufsen’s latest high-end TV and audio systems for themselves, interacting with the unique textiles and materials they can choose to customise the one-of-a-kind products the high-end brand is renowned for. With its floor-to-ceiling windows, the store captures plenty of natural light, aiding with the exploration of its immersive atmosphere.

On the ground floor of the new outlet, customers will be guided through a sensory experience as they browse the company’s latest products. Meanwhile, the bespoke zone can be accessed via a pink, carpeted staircase, where customers can play around with special software to select the materials and colours of their own, customised Bang & Olufsen devices, including home speakers, record players and big-screen televisions.

On the lower ground floor, which is adorned with metallic walls to aid in the listening experience, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in their favourite sounds as they experience the company’s high-quality auditory expertise in person. Within the Sensorium, a state-of-the-art sound room, customers will be able to escape reality as they appreciate the crystal clear audio clarity that only Bang & Olufsen can deliver.

Finally on the first floor, customers will experience the realm of the brand’s bespoke solutions, where they can design unique products that no one else will own, before having them crafted within Bang & Olufsen’s specialist factory in Struer, Denmark.

To accompany the opening of the store, Bang & Olufsen has also announced an exclusive, London-only Artists in Residence program, where cultural innovators will be invited to hold collective podcast recordings and panel discussions for live audiences within the store.
