U.K. prices for the bulk of Samsung Electronics’ 2023 TV lineup have finally been confirmed, as its latest QD-OLED and Neo QLED TVs begin shipping out to customers.
We already had an idea of the cost of some Samsung TV models as U.S. pricing was revealed just over a week ago, but we now have a much more accurate list as the U.K. listings have been updated.
Launching first are Samsung’s most premium models, including its QD-OLED and 4K Neo QLED TVs. Perhaps the most awaited TV is the Samsung S95C QD-OLED, which replaces last year’s award-winning S95B and features an improved, noticeably brighter panel. It’s available now at £2,699 for the 55-inch model, rising to £3,599 for the 65-inch version and £5,099 for the 77-inch variant. Meanwhile, the new Samsung S90C, which also sports the new panel but has different aesthetics and doesn’t have a One Connect box to hide away the cable, will cost £2,199 and £2,999 for the 55 and 65-inch models, respectively. We’re still awaiting confirmation of the price of the 77-inch S90C, which will launch next month.
In the U.K., buyers can also choose the S92C QD-OLED TV, which is basically the same as the S90C, with the only difference being its darker Top Slim design.
Moving on to Samsung's Neo QLED TVs, the flagship 8K resolution QN900C is priced at £5,099, £6,799 and £9,599 for the 65-, 75- and 85-inch sizes, respectively. The 8K QN800C will cost £6,999, £5,599 and £6,999 for the same sizes, while the QN700C begins at £2,899 for the 55-inch model, rising to £5,099 for the biggest 75-inch model.
For those who deem 8K to be unnecessary, the QN95C is the flagship 4K Neo QLED TV this year, with prices starting at £2,799 for the 55-inch version, rising to £6,999 for the biggest, 85-inch model. One step down is the QN90C, the smallest of which is the 43-inch model, priced at £1,599, topping out at 85-inches and a £5,799 price tag. Like with the S90C and S92C, there’s also a U.K.-specific variant known as the QN93C, which is more or less the same as the QN90C, and a QN88C, which is similar to the QN85C that’s priced at £1,899 for the smallest 55-inch version, rising to £4,699 for an 85-inch model.
Prices for all of these TVs are now listed on Samsung’s official U.K. website, and there are some tantalising discounts in place for those who want to buy early. For example, until June 13, buyers will be able to claim up to £500 cashback on select 4K Neo QLED TVs, and up to £200 cashback on the QD-OLED models.
In addition, those who want to give up their older Neo QLED or OLED TV will be able to claim an additional £200. If that seems like a ridiculous offer considering that it would likely fetch a much higher price in a second-hand sale, note that Samsung is offering this cash as a “recycling reward”, rather than a traditional trade-in. So it’s aimed squarely at more environmentally-conscientious buyers who presumably have a bit of cash to spare.
